This is a really practical podcast where Paul gives advice to young musicians on how they can use digital platforms to find an audience, release music themselves and advance their careers. He talks about how services like Spinnup can get tracks out to streaming and download services.

We also touch on the history of how major labels dealt with the digital revolution, whether streaming services such as Spotify are treating artists fairly.

Paul talked about what the future holds for the industry, with new technology making it even easier to create and distribute music.

We chat about his new business, Restless Natives, that he runs with former Thinky Thinky Make Make guest Gordon Smart.

We discussed our favourite Scottish music and Paul championed his beloved Frightened Rabbit. He wasn’t having Wet Wet Wet though.

He even tells us how to accurately pronounce his surname.

If you’ve enjoyed what you’ve heard you can follow Paul on Twitter and Instagram.

Thanks for listening,

Robbie xx
